The foundation of Islam is built on praising, glorifying, and treating with dignity the leader of all the prophets, Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam. Such praise, glorification, and treating with dignity is praise for the entire religion; and its removal is the end of the religion. By not giving such respect to the prophet, all religion comes to an end.
Throughout history Muslims have manifested their love for the prophet (Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) by adhering to God’s command: “Send ye prayers upon him and greet him with all respect” (33:57) صَلُّوْا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوْا تَسْلِيْماً
Therefore, we come out with a fresh idea to organize the “IIUM ‘berselawat’ ” program that suitable to all generation especially the youth in order to ask for The Lord's prayers and blessings upon Sayyidina Mohammed (Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) as an expression of our love for him, which is in turn an indication of our deep faith as The Lord commanded us to do so in order to reward us by praying upon us and blessing us in return if we follow His command.
This programme is the peak of PROTAZ Festival. With an Islamic theme not only to reinforce our collective consciousness, but is a Da’wah tool to make people remembering our lovely Prophet Muhammas s.a.w besides making him as the real ‘Role Model’ in our daily life in attempting to incorporate Al-Islam as the way of life.

To this extent, Islamic Students’ Convention has not only committed itself to improve the quality of its own IRK students, but also to encourage other tertiary institutions to participate and develop their interpersonal and communication skills, leadership qualities and teamwork spirits.

Abu Sa'id's
Hadith, may Allah be pleased with him.
Tariq bin Shihab reported: It was Marwan who initiated (the practice) of delivering sermon before the Prayer on the 'Id Day. A man stood up and said: the Prayer should precede the sermon. He remarked: This (practice) has been done away with. Upon this Abu Sa'id remarked: This man has performed the duty prescribed on him. I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) say: Whoever, among you, sees something abominable should rectify it with his hand; and if he has not strength enough to do it, then he should do it with his tongue; and if he has not strength enough to do it, (even) then he should (abhor it) from his heart, and that is the least of Faith
.

Sport has become rather important socio-culture movement in any modern country including our country today. As we know, student is a part of the nation plays significant role in achieving the vision and mission of the university in mounding the country. In general, the community views the students as future leaders. It is the responsibility of university to propagate students with comprehensive and integrative qualities in terms of intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical aspects. So, with that, all these aspects can be obtained through sport.
But what happening today is really contrary. Students would rather sit in the dorm to watch television, surf internet, and play with video games especially IRK student. They think that other activities than sports more enjoyable. There are also students who are too concern in their studies till ignore all sport activities without realizing that they need to balance both.
Hence, as representatives of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Heritage Students’ Society who are concern of those problems, we try to change their perception of sports field by organizing “PROTAZ SPORT”. We really hope that, this programme are able to assist them in understanding the importance of sport in their life indirectly.
